Ingredients
- 3 cups unsweetened shredded coconut14 oz sweetened condensed milk15 oz dark chocolate
Instructions
- Prepare the Coconut Mixture:
- In a bowl, combine the shredded coconut and sweetened condensed milk.
- Shape the Bars:
- With clean, damp hands, shape the coconut mixture into 12 logs. Place each log on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze the coconut logs for about 20 minutes.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 10 ounces of the dark chocolate. Microwave on high power for 30 seconds, then in 15-second intervals, stirring well between each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted.
- Add the remaining 5 ounces of chocolate to the melted chocolate and stir until fully melted.
- Coat the Bars:
- Using forks, dip each coconut log into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Transfer the chocolate-covered bars back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Let the chocolate set. Since the bars were chilled in the freezer, the chocolate should harden quickly.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Once the chocolate has set, the Mound Bars are ready to enjoy!
