This easy cabbage and potato gratin combines tender potatoes, soft cabbage, creamy mushroom soup, and melted cheddar for a comforting side dish. It’s simple, budget-friendly, and perfect for family dinners or holidays.
Ingredients
- 1 small head green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer half the potatoes and cabbage in the dish, then repeat with the remaining vegetables.
- Spread the cream of mushroom soup evenly over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 50–60 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes, then serve warm.
