4-Ingredient Cabbage and Potato Gratin

This easy cabbage and potato gratin combines tender potatoes, soft cabbage, creamy mushroom soup, and melted cheddar for a comforting side dish. It’s simple, budget-friendly, and perfect for family dinners or holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 small head green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer half the potatoes and cabbage in the dish, then repeat with the remaining vegetables.
  3. Spread the cream of mushroom soup evenly over the top.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 50–60 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Remove the foil, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes, then serve warm.
