Loaded with ground beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and Nacho Cheese Doritos, this salad delivers the perfect crunch and flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 large bag Dorito Nacho Cheese Chips, broken into smaller pieces (but not crumbs)
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 red onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 head of lettuce, shredded
- 6 tomatoes, chopped
- ½ cup Italian dressing
- 2 cups ranch dressing
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef:
- In a skillet, crumble and brown the lean ground beef over medium heat.
- Drain the excess fat from the pan once the beef is fully cooked.
- Season and Simmer:
- Add the taco seasoning mix to the cooked beef.
- Stir in the Italian and ranch dressings.
- Simmer until the liquid is absorbed, ensuring the flavors meld together.
- Prepare the Vegetables:
- Shred the lettuce and place it in a bowl.
- Chop the tomatoes and place them in another bowl.
- Dice the red onion and place it in a separate bowl.
- Combine the Ingredients:
- Place the shredded cheese in a large bowl.
- Instead of keeping the ingredients separate, you can mix everything together with the seasoned beef.
Serving Tips
- For a customizable salad, keep the ingredients in separate bowls. This allows each person to add their desired toppings.
